About Dr. Weaver

I work with adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related conditions. I believe each person has an innate capacity for healing, and I aim to help create the conditions for that capacity to emerge.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to the individual. Depending on each person’s needs, I may draw from psychotherapy—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, IFS-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic psychotherapy—as well as medications, ketamine therapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). My goal is to integrate advances in neuroscience with thoughtful, patient-centered care.

I also serve as a Research Physician at UC Berkeley’s Center for the Science of Psychedelics, where I work as a session monitor and facilitator for studies involving psilocybin. My other areas of interest include integrative medicine, metabolic psychiatry, and end-of-life and palliative psychiatry. I am especially interested in how practices such as yoga, meditation, time in nature, nutrition, and movement can support mental health and well-being.

I am committed to understanding how race, gender, culture, class, and experiences of oppression shape psychological suffering and each person’s path toward healing.

Above all, I hope to approach each person’s story with curiosity, care, and respect. I seek to build relationships grounded in safety, trust, and autonomy, and I view the opportunity to accompany someone on their journey toward recovery and lasting well-being as an immense privilege.
