Dr. Bob Dolgoff is one of BPA’s founders and served in a number of roles at Alta Bates Medical Center. He is a past President of its Medical Staff and a past Chairperson of the Department of Psychiatry. He served as President of the Northern California Psychiatric Society and was a member of its Ethics Committee. He taught at the University of California San Francisco for many years where he was Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. He was the founder and President of Doctor to Doctor, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing assistance to medical professionals in countries around the world.
After having provided inpatient care, ECT, and TMS at the Herrick campus at Alta Bates Medical Center at present his professional activity has been devoted solely to outpatient psychiatric assessment, consultation and teaching, medication management and psychotherapy.
