Bio

Dr. Duran works with individuals in outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings, treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions including but not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and trauma. He believes in working with patients collaboratively to identify and work towards their individualized treatment goals for not only symptom reduction but also increased life fulfillment, and enjoys providing care through a holistic lens that prioritizes trust and open communication. Dr. Duran provides medication management and/or psychotherapy in English and Spanish, and draws from several psychotherapeutic modalities including supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. He has additional training in electroconvulsive therapy and cultural psychiatry.
