Oner Gonen, MD

Dr. Oner Gonen is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in interventional psychiatry, with expertise in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and ketamine-based treatments. He completed psychiatry residency training in both Turkey and the United States and served as an attending psychiatrist and clinical director of inpatient and community psychiatric services in Turkey. More recently, prior to relocating to the Bay Area, Dr. Gonen served as Director of the Interventional Psychiatry Program in the University of Rochester Department of Psychiatry, where he led ECT, TMS, and interventional psychiatry consultation services and trained residents and fellows. He provides evidence-based, individualized care for patients who have not responded to traditional treatments and continues to serve as a voluntary Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
