PHQ-9: How to screen or monitor depression

TMS

A standard method used to screen and monitor an individual’s depression is called the Patient Health Questionnaire, or the PHQ-9*. Although clinical depression needs to be diagnosed by a mental health professional, you can take the PHQ-9 by Clicking HERE.

About the PHQ-9

The PHQ-9 asks nine questions that rate the severity of symptoms related to mood. If you have been diagnosed with clinical depression or feel that you or someone you care about may have clinical depression, this rating scale can be helpful. It can provide insight into the effectiveness of your current treatment or if you would be advised to see a mental health professional.
